These terms cover the free AvailaBooks Blogger theme, the AvailaBooks Blog Tools VS Code extension, and the availabooks.com pages under /blogger. By downloading the theme file, installing the extension, or using these pages, you agree to them. They don't cover AvailaBooks.com's paid assessment and gradebook integration (app.availabooks.com) — that's a separate service with its own terms.
A free, self-service Blogger theme (a single XML file you upload in your own blog's theme settings) that makes your Blogger posts read as chapters of a book, and a companion VS Code extension that mirrors your blog's posts to local files so you can write and revise them — including with an AI assistant — and sync your changes back to Blogger. Both are free, provided as-is, and run entirely on your own Blogger blog under your own Google account.
You own everything you publish through your own Blogger blog. AvailaBooks doesn't host, store, or control that content — it lives on Blogger, in your own Google account. The extension talks directly to Google's Blogger API from your own machine using your own Google sign-in; we never see or store your Google credentials or your blog's content through it. See our Privacy Policy for more on that.
You're responsible for what you publish — its accuracy, your right to use any text, images, or other material in it, and your compliance with the law and with Blogger's own content policies and terms. We don't review, moderate, or control content published on individual authors' blogs, and we have no ability to remove or edit anything you publish there — that's between you and Google. You're also responsible for keeping your own Google account secure.
We give you a free, non-exclusive license to install and adapt the theme file on your own Blogger blog(s), and to use the extension to author your own book or course content. This license doesn't extend to repackaging or redistributing the theme file or the extension itself as your own product or service.
Installing the free theme or using the extension doesn't create any partnership, royalty, or revenue-share arrangement with AvailaBooks.com, and submitting the "interested in authoring opportunities" form doesn't obligate us to accept you as an author or to pay anything. Any assessment-integration or royalty arrangement described on our site is a separate agreement, worked out individually with the AvailaBooks.com team, and covered by its own terms once it exists.
Using the theme and the extension necessarily involves other companies' services we don't control: Blogger and Google's OAuth sign-in, and — if you submit the interest form — Google Forms. This site is hosted through Cloudflare. Each of those has its own terms and privacy practices. If Google changes or retires a Blogger feature the theme or extension depend on, we can't guarantee either will keep working, and we'll fix what we can when we're able to.
The theme, the extension, and this site are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. The extension in particular is still an early, actively-changing tool (version 0.0.1) — expect rough edges, and back up anything important before syncing changes.
To the fullest extent the law allows, AvailaBooks isn't liable for any damages arising from your use of the free theme, the extension, or this site — including lost content or lost revenue — since your book's content actually lives on Blogger, under your own control and Google's.
We may update the theme, the extension, this site, or these terms at any time. Because the theme is a file you download and install yourself, updating it on our end doesn't change a copy you've already installed unless you choose to download and reinstall the new version. Continuing to use the theme, the extension, or this site after we post a change to these terms means you accept the change.
We may stop offering or supporting the free theme or extension at any time. Doing so doesn't remove or change a theme already installed on your blog, or any content you've already published — that stays exactly as it is, since it runs entirely on your own Blogger account.
